LakeSide is an acoustical gospel group, located in Madisonville, TN. LakeSide is on the Mercy Road Label with Chapel Valley Studios. They desire to spread the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Their music provides a mixture of acappella singing, acoustically arranged country gospel, and of course, bluegrass gospel music.
LakeSide started playing in churches throughout East Tennessee in 1995. The group started out as a family group called the Gospel Bluegrass Boys. In 2007, because of some member changes, the group adopted the name “LakeSide.” LakeSide is a group of individuals committed to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They desire to share their personal testimonies and songs to all who will listen. They love to tell others what the Lord has done for them and have a great time in doing it!!

I play mandolin and sing lead/harmony vocals for LakeSide. I love to sing and play in this group because we all view it as a ministry to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have played bluegrass music since I was 10 years old with my brother and friends. My primary instrument has always been the mandolin, because no one else played it, but I do love the mandolin. I am married to my wonderful wife “Ann” and we have two children “Megan” and “Lucas”. My wife and I are members of Vonore Baptist Church. My family is great; they are the ones that truly sacrifice for me to participate in this ministry. I love the Lord and my family, and only hope that I will be able to continue the ministry provided by LakeSide. The sole purpose of this ministry is to spread the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ in song and in testimonies!
I play banjo and guitar, and sing lead/harmony vocals for LakeSide. I have been playing bluegrass music for over 35 years. I have been married for 20 years to my lovely wife Michelle and we have two kids Mitchell and Bryce, and we live in Robbins, TN. In 1989 I received Christ as my savior and my life has not been the same since. At age 38, I was diagnosed with terminal heart failure, and I am a living witness that prayers due come true! Six months later I received a new heart and I have been blessed to have had this heart for more than 8 years, now! So when you are truly facing a tribulation, there is just one name to call on, and that is Jesus!
Jackie Cummings – I play bass and sing lead/ harmony vocals for LAKESIDE. This is the first gospel Bluegrass group I’ve played with. I’ve played music for over 20 years with various groups, from Nashville to Atlanta. I was 12 years of age when I gave my life to Jesus Christ, and things of the world lead me astray. But, in 2010 I was at a point in my life that something wasn’t right and one night Jesus changed the path I was on and turned me back to HIM. It is a great honor to share the same path of life with these guys of LakeSide, with their love for the Lord. I am 50 years young and have a Loving wife (Kim) of 11 years who shares the same passion for our Lord and Savior. We are from Tunnel Hill GA. and a tend Bethesda Baptist Church.
Robert Bell – I am the Logistics Coordinator for LakeSide. I coordinate the travel for the group, setup & teardown the sound equipment, monitor & adjust sound and many other tasks to make life easier for everyone else. The Lord has blessed me so much with this group and for sure with my family. My wife’s name is Linda and we have two sons, Daniel and Andrew, and one daughter-in-law Stacey. I’m the proud grandfather of three grandchildren Caleb, Carley, and Elijah. I got saved in 1993 and have enjoyed serving the Lord through music. I attempt to make LakeSide sound as good as possible for everyone!!
Ben Allen- I play lead guitar and fiddle for Lakeside. I live in Pall Mall, TN. I’m 24 years old. My family The Allen’s have been singing since I was a child. I have been blessed by being raised in a Christian home. My father currently pastors York Chapel in Pall Mall, TN. God began speaking to my heart as a young boy and I soon gave my life to Him as my Lord and Savior. I started out playing drums for my church when I was about 9 years old. Since then, the Lord has blessed me to play various instruments, one of which is the fiddle. I also have a home studio that I record music. I filled in playing lead guitar for two events with Lakeside and developed a friendship that I will cherish. I was asked to join the group in September 2012 to be a member of Lakeside playing fiddle and now currently taken the role of lead guitarist. I count it a privilege to be a part of Lakeside and want to uplift the name of Jesus with music and song.
