Everyone Make Plans To Come!!
|Mercy Road Recording Artists|
LakeSide is a bluegrass gospel group, located in Madisonville, TN. LakeSide is on the Mercy Road Label with Chapel Valley Studios. They desire to spread the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Their music provides a mixture of acappella singing, contemporary acoustic, and of course, bluegrass gospel music.
LakeSide started playing in churches throughout East Tennessee in 1995. The group started out as a family group called the Gospel Bluegrass Boys. In 2007, because of some member changes, the group adopted the name “LakeSide." LakeSide is a group of individuals committed to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They desire to share their personal testimonies and songs to all who will listen.
"Our prayer is for the Lord’s will to be completed in each of our lives. We hope you are blessed through our testimonies and music. Please review our Schedule, Store and Latest Posts. Thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to meeting you down the road!" - LakeSide

I would like to say it has been honor to sing and minister to people with Gary Woody for the last 14 years or so! Gary is taking some time off from LakeSide, and he will be sorely missed. I met Gary at a singing in Delano, TN, and he joined our group (then known as the Gospel Bluegrass Boys) at that point, and I was concerned that he would not stay very long since He and Rita resides in Tunnel Hill, GA, which is 1 hour and 40 minutes from Madisonville, TN. But, Gary has driven that drive over 14 years and hardly ever missed a singing engagement. He often stated that we all use to drive for ours to sing and play bluegrass or country, what is an hour and 40 minutes to be part of a ministry to help folks! As many know it is hard to go so much and it is time away from family and church, but Gary has been an instrumental part of LakeSide playing banjo, and Dobro, while always delivering a great baritone voice. I always love to hear Gary sing and I am sure he will continue to sing with his wife Rita. We only wish the absolute best for Gary and Rita, and many blessings!!
PS: To end on a positive note Gary’s song(Jonah the Preacher Man) will be #57 on the southern gospel charts and #8 on the Bluegrass Charts in Singing News. Keep on singing and writing…
